Blast Freezing

Our Capacity

  • 40 pallets per 12 hour cycle
  • 75kw evaporator working at -38o C evaporation temperature

Our Blast freezer can take up to 40 pallets at a time, with 75kw of freezing capacity.

Transkold has recently installed blast freezing capabilities, sufficient to blast freeze full loads within it’s onsite 75kw duty blast freezer.

The dedicated plant evaporates at -38 degrees, and is capable of bringing the most duty intensive loads down to temperature within industry recommended time lines The length of time taken to bring product down to temperature will depend on the type of product, and the packaging it is within.

Being so close to central London, and the food production areas of Park Royal, we can get product from the production line to -18 within the necessary time required to ensure the quality of the product is preserved, and the time window for getting it to -18 is achieved.

To shorten the time, air flow separators can be placed between the layers of product on the pallet to increase the exposure of all product to the refrigerated airflow.
